Class Descriptions

Level 1

Basic principles of the Iyengar method. These classes are for all students with no previous experience in Iyengar yoga.
  

Level 2

Deepens students' understanding of the asanas (postures) and works toward increased stamina.
  

Level 3

Students are introduced to intermediate asanas with an emphasis on finer detail and precision.
   

Level 4

For intermediate students with a strong home practice. 10-minute Sirsasana and permission from teacher required.
   

All Levels

We welcome one and all. The teacher will ensure that all students will be working toward their individual capacity. Beginners welcome.
   

55+

If you are new to yoga, and you learn differently now than you did at 30. Whether you are 60, 70 or 80+, you will increase your strength, balance and flexibility and gain inner harmony. Experience the benefits of yoga in a supportive environment.
   

Gentle 

This class is suitable for those who require a slower pace. Traditional yoga postures are adapted to suit the special needs of the individual. Class size is limited.
 

Children, 6-8

Fun! Fun! Fun! Designed to allow children to explore yoga. We offer kids Yoga Birthday Parties.
   

Tweens, 9-12

We recognize the need for your own space in which to flourish in yoga.
   

Teens, 13+

You have so much to do... schoolwork, sports, hours at the computer, dealing with mental and physical stress - yoga will help you cope - with increased focus and awareness.
   

Pranayama

Yogic Breath Control. Focus is on basic Pranayama,  yoga philosophy and sitting meditation. Minimum one year of yoga asana study is required.
   

Restorative

Mid-week stretch and restore to energize you for the rest of the week. No experience necessary. All levels welcome.
   

Mom & Baby

Focus on re-discovering our bodies. We’ll practice while ‘wearing’ our babies (bring a sling/wrap/soft carrier if you have one; if not, some will be available for class), or with baby playing on the floor or asleep on a blanket. Introductory special price to honour the new mother and welcome the new yogi/yogini into the world.
